Topic title:
3D printing customized bone tissue engineering scaffolds with multilevel micro-nano morphology and structure characteristics.

Abstract
Due to the appearance of human bones is diversiform, some specific bone tissue, such as cranial and maxillofacial bone tissue reconstruction has high personalized requirements, 3D printing is a good choice of this kind of application in our study, based on patients of personalized medical image data modeling are studied, using biodegradable bioceramics polymer such as production activity of orthopaedic implants, is used to induce new bone tissue, reconstruction of maxillofacial morphology, repair its biological function.

This research focused on a multi-layered micro-nano structure controlled 3D printing bioactive ceramic scaffold (figure 1), the design of bioactive ceramic scaffold is through the parameterized modeling design, and then by using 3D printing technology to fabricate calcium phosphate ceramic scaffold according to the designed model. By adjusting the raw printing inks materials such as hydroxyapatite (HA) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP), the biodegradation rate could be designed. The second level micro pores were obtained by hydrothermal treatment. During this process, the secondary micro-nano morphology structure, and pores can by controlled by adjusting the reaction medium environment parameters, such as medium pH, temperature, time et.al. By regulation of micro-nano morphology and structure in bioactive ceramic, customized bone tissue engineering scaffolds could be precisely fabricated for different patients personalized requirements.
