Biography:Feng Lin, Ph.D., Associate professor of Beihang University/doctoral supervisor, Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Biomedical Engineering, Japan GCOE, JSPS scholar, deputy director of the Chinese mechanical engineering society committee member, deputy director of the biological manufacturing engineering branch, IROS2019 in micro/nano robot session chairman, association of Chinese pharmaceutical biotechnology 3-D printing technology branch deputy head of the biological materials. He has won 8 international robotics and machinery awards, including ICRA 2012 (IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation), WRC 2019 (World Robot Conference) Best Paper Award, and Japan Mechanical Society Outstanding Young Research Scholar Award. Presided more than 10 national and provincial level projects of "Targeted drug Delivery Micro-nano robot", a key research and development program of the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2019. More than 70 papers in SCI/EI have been published, and more than 10 patents have been approved. In 2016, published top Journal in IJRR.

Topic titleField-Controlled Micro/Nano manipulations of biomedical objects

Abstract: Micro-nano robot and micro-nano manipulations have gradually become an important research target for micro-nano manufacturing and in vivo targeted therapy. Due to its small size, strong controllability, cluster mobility and high penetrability, it has attracted more and more attention in the fields of medicine, environment, military and energy. However, precise cluster control, in vivo targeted drug delivery, and cellular micromanipulation remain challenges. Our group focus on the design and control of micro-nano robot systems for medical applications. This talk will briefly introduce different physical driving mechanism and the latest achievements based on the three physical fields (magnetic field, optoelectronic field and acoustic field), as well as the biomaterials based micro-nano robot concerned in the medical field. The design of micro/nano robot applied to the knowledge of science, and also a landmark achievement in recent years, involving multidisciplinary intersection (including microelectronics, micro-nano processing technology, biological, physical, chemical, machinery, automation, etc.) will be introduced.
